Drawing for Artists
with Claire Joyce
Course Schedule:
3rd Sundays // 11a-1p EST
Course Description:
Are you interested in exploring how drawing can help broaden your studio practice? Maybe you found your life drawing classes tedious or you "can't draw a straight line"? Guess what? No one can! It is not necessary to keep a daily sketchbook or make architecturally accurate plans for your sculptures to have drawing enrich your artistic process.
Join artist and life-long drawing enthusiast Claire Joyce in an exploration of materials, process, and visual thinking. The class will be playful, each meeting will adapt and change according to the needs and ideas of the students and encourage a rethinking of how drawing can be used.
We will address technique and formal ideas, consider the physicality of drawing, investigate how we communicate an idea visually, and practice mark making.
Claire and the students will be actively drawing and giving each other feedback during each session
Registration opens October 19th at 10am Central Time
