In 2024 Cohorts offered two full-tuition scholarships.

With the expansion of the Cohorts.Art Program, we are thrilled to offer more full-tuition scholarships than ever before.

MISSION: Art is for everyone; good art education should be accessible to everyone. Cohorts.Art was founded to provide more avenues to the vibrant tradition of art mentorship to career-minded adults. Online connectivity has removed obstacles of distance. Mentorship decentralizes education opportunities. Relational learning means no prepackaged curricula. Cohorts.Art’s price structure reflects our value of making high-quality Art Education achievable while paying artists well. Unfortunately, that’s not enough….

ART EQUITY SCHOLARSHIP: Baked into Cohorts.Art is a scholarship that aligns with our principal mission. Poverty, racism, sexism and Heteronormative prejudices are all obstacles to Art Education. Offering a diverse group of mentors broadens our perspective of who makes art. A full-tuition scholarship for those in need broadens the possibilities of who can make a living as an artist. Each year, a different juror will select several scholarship applicants to receive a year of Cohorts.Art study tuition-free. To be eligible, applicants must be from an underrepresented demographic, have consistent access to studio facilities, and a reliable internet connection.

MONEY: A Cohorts.Art scholarship is equivalent to $4,200. Currently, our scholarship does not include funds to help with travel for the in-person workshop portion of the Cohorts year. We are happy for any donations. Generous funds donated will be used to relieve costs associated with travel and housing for the workshop week.
