Individual Meetings: 2nd & 4th Tuesday or Wednesday, EST from 9am - 1pm (additional time availability may be requested).
Group Meeting: Last Sunday of the month, (EST 9am - 2pm time frame)
Workshop Agenda: A week in my studio/shop located in Certaldo Alto, Italy. We will spend the time exploring enameling and various jewelry and small container fabrication techniques. I'll provide demonstrations, which we'll decide beforehand and add to as needed. Each person should plan to bring with them a “problem” piece that we can brainstorm on together. While I expect individuals to be working in their own style, this is also a time where each person can try something new; further developing their technique and expanding on their personal creative practice. Evening conversations will of course be accompanied by wine and pasta. One day may be taken to go to Florence and visit supply shops, studios and museums. We'll maintain 5 full studio days and either take a pause mid-way in the week or go on Saturday after the studio time if completed.
Dates: I will suggest April-May, though final dates will be decided as a group.
My studio is ground floor, however, participants should be comfortable with stairs and uneven pavement.
About Jenn
Jennifer currently lives in Certaldo, Italy where she has her gallery and studio. She holds an MFA in Metalsmithing & Jewelry Design and has completed artist-in-residencies at: Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, TN, Pocosin Arts in Columbia, NC and the Jentel Foundation near Banner, WY.
She has taught for and been a visiting Artist at Universities throughout the U.S and study abroad programs in Italy. An Instructor at Le Arti Orafe in Florence, Italy, she also teaches short workshops throughout Europe and the U.S. In recent years she has curated multiple international exhibitions. In 2025 the Plus One Collective is entering its 6th year as a rotating exhibition of enamel artists.
Her works have been featured in multiple publications and are in the collections of the Enamel Arts Foundation, Racine Museum, All Russian Museum of Decorative Arts, Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, Yale University Art Gallery, Crocker Art Museum, The Metal Museum and Private Collections.
