Sculpture in Clay: Developing Your Own Project

with Jinsik Yoo

Course Schedule:

1st Sundays // 3-5pm EST

Course Description:

This course guides students through the full process of making ceramic sculpture, from initial concept to finished piece. Students develop individual projects and find their own way of working while exploring the material properties and expressive potential of clay. Along the way, we look closely at how an idea takes shape, as sketches, tests, and material experiments grow into a resolved work.

Sessions are structured around the group's needs and may include demonstrations, lectures, and discussions. Guest lectures are arranged based on students' interests, and regular critiques give students room to reflect on their work and push it further. One-on-one meetings are available as needed to check in on individual projects.

Registration opens October 19th at 10am Central Time
