Rhonda Willers is an American multidisciplinary studio artist, author, researcher, and educator celebrated for her expertise in ancient surface techniques and quiet, meditative installations. Based in rural Elk Mound, Wisconsin, her practice blends functional ceramic vessels, handbuilt earthenware, facial tissues, soundscapes, and social practice to explore human memory, fragility, and communal connection.

Workshop content may be shifted based on the needs and interests of the cohort. Possible additional field trips include: Northern Clay Center, Minneapolis Institute of Art, Weisman Art Museum, Walker Art Center
The workshop will take place in Wisconsin near the Chippewa Valley Region, which is approximately a 1 1/2 hour drive from Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota. Exact location will be determined once we establish our content and goals. Final location may include stairs and/or walking on a slight incline.

About Rhonda
Rhonda Willers is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice incorporates ceramics, facial tissues, mixed media, drawing, painting, and time-based installations. Her work lingers in the quiet moments—where memory, ritual, and transformation meet.
She is the author of Terra Sigillata: Contemporary Techniques and host of the podcast The Artist in Me Is Dead. A former President of the Board of Directors for the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA), her writing has been featured in The Book of Alchemy: A Creative Practice for an Inspired Life by Suleika Jaouad, Pottery Making Illustrated, and various other books and publications.
From her home and studio in rural Elk Mound, Wisconsin, Rhonda creates, writes, and tends to the rhythms of family life—shared with her husband, three children, and two cats.
